Compliance Officer - Role Description

The Compliance Officer is responsible for monitoring and evaluating all lines of business and cross functional activities to help the company meet and maintain their regulatory, legal and security requirements.  

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Works together with management and staff to identify and manage regulatory risk.
  • Develop and maintain company policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate the company’s procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks.
  • In charge of making sure that all employees are informed about regulations and industry practices.
  • Prepares compliance audit data by compiling and analysing internal and external information
  • Conducts internal audits.
  • Provide accurate management review report.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Promote a positive compliance culture.

 Authority: The power of adjust policies company’s procedures, practices, and documents based on the ISMS team feedback, delegate ISMS tasks and ensure compliance to company policies and practices.

The Compliance Officer has unrestricted authority to review documents and information relative to compliance audit activities.

The company is holding (or in the process of obtaining) an ISO27001 certificate, meaning that all team members will need to comply to set Information Security Management System (ISMS) rules and procedures. These rules will be communicated during onboarding and can be subject to change. Yearly, a Security Awareness training is organised for all team members and changes will be internally communicated when needed
