HR & Organisation

Human Resources (HR) and organizational practices are essential for achieving and maintaining compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27001, ISO 9002, SOC 2, and other regulatory requirements. HR plays a crucial role in integrating these standards into the organization’s culture, ensuring consistent adherence across all levels. One of the primary areas where HR ensures compliance is in the employee lifecycle, particularly during the onboarding and offboarding processes. During onboarding, HR makes certain that new hires receive the necessary training on compliance protocols, understand their responsibilities in protecting organizational data, and are granted appropriate access controls. These practices not only familiarize employees with  policies and procedures but also establish a foundation for their roles in ensuring compliance.

HR is responsible for coordinating both the onboarding and offboarding processes, which include ensuring that new employees are properly integrated into the organization, while also revoking access rights and recovering all organizational assets during offboarding.

In addition to these operational processes, HR ensures that all documentation related to employee onboarding and offboarding, employment contracts, compliance training, audits, and incident reports are thoroughly maintained. These records must be accessible for audits and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring that the organization can consistently meet its compliance obligations.

Given that HR plays a crucial role in maintaining compliance standards, the management of key documentation becomes a critical responsibility. In this context, ‘HR & Organization Section’ may support the storage and management of certain documents to ensure compliance. Below are examples of the types of documents that HR manages to uphold regulatory requirements:

Onboarding and Offboarding Documentation: Maintaining thorough records of the onboarding and offboarding processes, including training completion and asset returns.

Employee Screening Records: Documentation related to background checks, reference checks, criminal record checks, and verification of employment history.

Organizational Chart (Organogram): A visual representation of the organization’s structure, outlining reporting lines, departmental roles, and hierarchies.

Role and Responsibility Descriptions: Detailed descriptions of each employee’s role, including the scope of their responsibilities, job duties, and expectations.

This section enables the tracking of document versioning, ensuring that changes made to key records are properly documented and accessible.  Additionally, the section supports the annual review and approval processes, ensuring that documents are regularly assessed for accuracy, relevance, and compliance.
